What the published policy illustrates
Stripe's current FAQ distinguishes research-purpose peptide sales from other peptide uses and describes measures to prevent research products reaching nonresearch purchasers. This is one provider's policy, checked on October 28, 2026, not an announcement of a new industry-wide rule. MerchantBridge does not claim a Stripe partnership or approval authority.

MerchantBridge analysis: a disclaimer cannot carry the whole application
A useful processing inquiry describes the operating business. What is in the catalog? Who is allowed to buy? How are customer restrictions applied? Where are products shipped? An application that only says 'RUO' leaves those basic questions unanswered.
For example, a seller serving institutional purchasers and a seller offering unrestricted consumer checkout should not submit identical descriptions simply because both use the same label. State the actual model and any limitations honestly. If the business cannot substantiate a claim about customer screening, do not include it as though it were an established control.
- Write a factual product-category summary without therapeutic or product-use claims.
- Describe customer types and the process actually used to assess orders.
- Explain restricted destinations and how fulfillment follows the stated policies.
- Identify any difference between the public catalog and the business description submitted for review.
Prepare an evidence-based business summary
Start with a short account of a normal order: where it originates, how it is accepted, when it ships and how support questions are handled. The aim is not to produce a long compliance essay. It is to provide enough operational detail for a potential partner to ask useful follow-up questions.
If you are changing practices, distinguish current controls from planned changes. If there is prior processing history, include the provider's stated reason for a restriction or termination rather than inventing a diagnosis. A new label or payment method does not erase the underlying facts.
How the MerchantBridge review works
MerchantBridge reviews the research business, payment requirements and potential acquiring relationships. Some partners may evaluate certain RUO profiles, while others will not accept them. That availability must be confirmed for the specific merchant.
Start with the initial processing inquiry. The follow-up email link collects more detail, and a private upload link is provided if supporting documents are requested. There is no need to send sensitive statements or identity documents with your first message.
What does this mean for your processing?
